The gas station in Claymont did not close down because of a boycott. Consumers buying a product at a lower price elsewhere is not boycotting. Consumers buying no product at all, from anyone, over a long time is boycotting.

the exxon in claymont closed down. i think the boycott of this station worked. they always were the first station on the pike to raise prices and the last to lower them.

Again, LM, you are not boycotting, and neither are "millions".

It's more than three guys, and now it's hundreds of thousand and perhaps even millions. But wait, one day, the price of gas will climb higher still and then you'll hear more of us as well! You can laugh or say what you want, it's us who are boycotting, and those who are just using less in-general that have brougt up the surplus in stocks and the reason why there's more and why the prices have dropped. Many have switched to more fuel efficient vehicles, many are walking more and many are using public transportation more as well. Plus, some just don't have the money to spend on gas and won't now if they can avoid it. The press and everyone else can say what they wish. It's true! Even people in Canada, Australia, Europe, India and elsewhere have jumped on board the boycott bus and on board the conservation bus as well! Some have jumped on board the alternative energy bus and hybrid bus too!

I'd imagine a graph of boycott topics and gas prices would overlay quite nicely. Of course, the boycott crowd will claim their efforts drove down the prices, because companies worth hundreds of billions of dollars were afraid of three guys wearing tinfoil hats in Mud Hills, NY.
