Absolutely per schedule...which incidentally, is once every six months. I don't even have to jack up the vehicle as everything is within an arms length.

Naah just have the dealer change it once a year. Usually less than 3000 miles on it them but I feel I should change it at least that often.

Hellow cowboyzBC. Your one question is actually two. Yes, I change the engine oil myself. No, I do not change it every six months. I change the original "break-in" oil at 1,000 miles. Thereafter, I use the GM oil life system and change it at 5% or 1 year whichever is sooner. I always change the oil filter with the oil. Also, I use synthetic oil.

i change my oil every 3000 miles or about 3 months, whichever comes first per my owners manual. (i drive older vehicles.) i do it in my backyard.

I don't do my oil changes. I don't have the space or the tools, and I'd rather not deal with disposing of the oil.

I bring my in to get the oil changed. I would not say it is every 6 months either. It depends on which vehicle. I can go longer on my truck and work car since they are not every day vehicles. My wifes car is less than 6 months.
