Scoring some runs would help.
I really didn't see the Dodgers sweeping the Cubs, but they are clearly a lot better than their record.

This really doen't surprise me. I don't believe in curses, but something happens here too much. The 1984 NLCS, the 1989 NLCS, 2003 NLCS, and now the last 2 years, they go 3 straight.
What do they really have to do to win, there is no reason why this team couldn't.

They broke my heart again this year.
I have been on the Cubs side for over 50 years, but this year hurt more than ever.

Dodgers complete the sweep of the Cubs . . . yep it is officially over . . . and please don't play the "wait till next year!" card Cubs fans; it will ring especially hollow now . . .

Anyone else catch the shot of Frank McCourt at Wrigley last night? He looked kind of distressed for a guy whose team just went up 2-0 on the road in the NLDS; I think it was the prospect of only ONE Dodgers-Cubs game at Dodger Stadium . . .

Cubs in 5 if Steve Barton doesn't show up at Wrigley. If Steve does show up though, then it will be the Dodgers in 5! ==================== Looks more like Dodgers in 3 since the Cubs didn't bother to show up either. ;)

When Joe Torre's Yankees owned October, this was how they did it.
With starting pitching to keep it close, the way Derek Lowe did for six innings Wednesday night. Hitters patiently worked walks -- the Dodgers had eight -- and ran up opposing starters' pitch counts, leading to a big mistake and early exit of the starter -- Ryan Dempster didn't finish the fifth inning -- and lesser relievers to punish.
Having earlier landed the Yankees' manager and hitting coach, the remodeled Dodgers borrowed from that proven playbook to win Game 1 of the National League Division Series from the Cubs, 7-2. They rifled three home runs through the inbound wind, none of them with more impact than a fifth-inning grand slam by James Loney with the Cubs ahead, 2-0.

As I did with the earlier game, I had video on the TV but listened to the audio on MLB.com via the pc. The intent was to avoid hearing those hideous franktv commercials again on TBS. However, I had to turn the sound on the TV on for a moment and found an added benefit listening on the pc. Tony Gwynn was one of the announcers. He is horrid and why they continue to use him is a mystery. He has one of the worst voices for calling a game. Almost as annoying as Gilbert Gottfried.

It's gona be a tough matchup for the Cubs, especially with ManRam on the Dodgers. They have alot of good bats as well. I expect the Cubs to take it in 4 though.

The Cubs won't pitch to Manny, so who bats behind him will be pivotal to the Dodgers chances.

If there is one underlying theme for the Cubs this season, it's team.
There's balance. They have five players with at least 20 home runs, five with at least 74 RBIs. Three pitchers have at least 14 wins. It's nearly impossible to pick one MVP.
How can you choose between rookie catcher Geovany Soto, versatile Mark DeRosa, steady Ryan Dempster, closer Kerry Wood, setup ace Carlos Marmol and RBI man Aramis Ramirez?
Lou Piniella can't pick one.
