Will toyota ever bring back the diesel? in 1985 I bought a new 85 toyota 4X4 longbed turbo diesel I put 169,000.00 miles on it the only repair I ever did was replace the brushes in the generator the truck averaged 26 mpg with over size tires and a lift kit we used to call it the prepetual motion machine but it rusted out so bad I mean BAD

When toyota gets the San Antonio plant online thay will be building the new "Tundra" and from what thay tell us (at the dealrship) there will be a 3/4 ton and a 1 ton. There will be a "big block" opp or a "diesel" in the bigger trucks.No more info at this time. The plant is due to be running by the end of next year I think.
