I've owned Toyotas since 1976. My favorite has always been the one I was driving at the time. Right now it's my 2010 Corolla. I love Corollas.

I'm very happy with my second gen '08 Highlander bought new and currently at 80.5k miles. The mileage is so good for a non-hybrid AWD SUV of its size (~20-22 city/~24-26 hwy/~23-24 combined), I'm having a hard time thinking about replacing due to mileage.

2010 Prius, for what it's designed for and the purchase price very hard car to beat. My favourite Toyota for sure.

My father had a 1974 Toyota Crown wagon and it was a lemon. That car kept breaking down all the time, which kept me from looking at Toyotas for 36 years.

The Prius test score, said Consumer Reports, puts it slightly under its chief competitor, the mediocre Honda Insight, and is too low for us to recommend the model.”

My 2010 Corolla drives so well, it is boring! No hassles at all, very quite, the electronic steering is too smooth! I switched from Honda this time, as I did not like the new Civic, and have had two Civics totaled for me! The old small Toyota pickups were great cars as well.

Why are all the negative posts made only by one person but posted multiple times?

I’m sorry that your Prius makes you miserable. Really GBHUGVA, your posts remind me of a dirty political campaign. You’re obnoxious, bitter and highly unbelievable.

You obviously have some demented agenda or you wouldn’t spend your time in this message forum.

I’ve never clicked the “ignore” member feature before but sadly, you’re my first.

"Honda like Toyota lies about MPG's, The wifes Prius got 40.3(395miles on 9.8gal) last fill NOT the 60/51 Toyota claims."

2004-2007 Toyota claimed 60 mpg city/51 mpg highway later in 2008 it was changed to 48 mpg city/45 mpg highway still higher than we get.

Our 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid gets 32.5 most of the time, paid 10grand
the wifes P.O.S. 2004 prius only gets 40.3 not 60 like they said, but she got it for 7grand, ok beater I guess, but the Ford is our favorite, better quality for sure!

reb4, that driving 30-40mph(pulse-glide/hyper-miling) in 45-55limit roads will get you rear-ended, oh maybe your into that kinda thing!

1997 Corolla, my first Toyota ever, which I bought back in 2008. Gets 35-36 MPG combined and has paid dividends during periods of ridiculous spikes in gas prices. In the 4.5 years of ownership, I've done preventive maintenance on it (i.e. new timing belt, water pump, motor mounts, radiator, exhaust manifold, belts, hoses), but it hasn't had any major mechanical problems that left me dead on the road. These little econoboxes will take a beating, and I've seen people drive some really beat up ones, but yet still run forever. No wonder I see so many of these 1993-97 model years out on the road.

I bought my Toyota Rav 4 four years ago and have never had a problem with it. It was 9 years old when I bought it. Love it and will only drive Toyota now.

My favourite was a 73 Corona Hardtop that I picked up in 76. 2000cc engine, 4-speed, and it went like stink. Good looking car, nice lines, much like the Celica of the same year, but with 4 speeds instead of 5. I finally replaced it with an 81 Corolla wagon after my kid arrived. He learned to drive on that wagon, by the way.

Cars of today provide a lot less aggravation and drive much more smoothly, but the Corona is the one I actually fell in love with.

owned 4 so far... All were good.

Toyota Celica back in 70's (before kids)... Got rear ended and frame was beant but still drove ok, just didn't feel right keeping it long (plus kids came along...).

2 corollas (99 / 2009) my son still driving the 1999 one.

1 Toyota Prius (2010). That's my personal favorite...
