If you have to worry about the repair bills, you can not afford this car. It is nice but not for me. I just need good reliable transportation.

Don't want a BMW. I rode a Vespa for 16 years to work and it got 100 miles to a gallon.

Well, rear wheel drive will get better fuel economy than 4 wheel drive - and tire wear won't be so critical. In all, it would cost a lot less to operate than a 4 wheel drive version.

The diesel version could be quite interesting considering I have heard how efficient the diesel engines have gotten. I wonder if it has one of the 80mpg clean burning diesel engines? Definitely something to look into in the future...

This doesn't make sense when oil is heading higher and employment is still over 10% in most states.

If it's a BMW, you just KNOW it's going to be $35K or better. With today's economy, who can afford a car like that?

Who wants to buy a new car when we don't have any idea how high our taxes are going. Health care will make sure of that.

I think it is nice to get rear wheel drive options on something smaller than a Lincoln Town Car, but BMW's costs are too high for initial price as well as PMs.

If you like sky-high maintenance bills, and insurance premiums, for what is basically just another car, buy a BMW.

Yes, but is it affordable? In Germany, BMWs are the equivalent of taxicabs, so why are they so special here?

Prices would help this article. That way we can all see that it is too rich for our blood to be able to lead a sub-par lifestyle.
