Arizona pump prices hit 11-week low, down in EV 4.6 cents

East Valley Tribune -- Gas prices dropped for the seventh straight week in Arizona last week, just in time for Memorial Day weekend travel.

Arizona motorists were paying $3.760 per gallon Thursday, a drop of 3.6 cents from the week prior. East Valley drivers saw a 4.2 cent drop in pump prices — down to $3.741 per gallon — while nationwide, the price of fuel shed 4.6 cents to $3.676.

The price of crude briefly dropped below $90 per barrel, a seven-month low for the commodity. The decrease in pump prices is a direct reflection of crude’s price drop.

While fuel prices have fallen to an 11-week low, Arizonans hitting the road this weekend will be met with the highest prices in Memorial Day history.

Gas prices in AZ are going down much slower than in most of the rest of the country. Overall we have about the same prices as last year. AZ is one of the poorest states in America but we pay the same amount for gas as in Boston, MA, which is ridiculous considering residents in MA earn a LOT more than residents in AZ. Come on, big oil, stop being so damn greedy!

A drop of anything around 5¢ is not worth the ink in this article.

Good, it's going in the helpful direction. Use your gas credit cards and discount cards. I get it for about 3.25

We need to stop buying our oil and gas off the world market. Only sell what we don't need/use.
