Des Moines Register -- Spring break this year for many Iowa college students will mean soaking up the sun by day, partying at night, and paying higher prices at the gasoline pump around the clock.

In fact, just the cost of driving to the land of tanning lotion, bikinis and white sand beaches may require cutting back on other spending.

For Derek Temple, 20, of Johnston, a sophomore at Drake University, spring break will mean road-tripping this month to Daytona Beach, Fla., with four or five college friends. It’s a 22-hour one-way trek, and they figure their round-trip fuel bill will be about $400 to $500.

Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle is, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost, if possible.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!
