Gas prices: What you need to know for a road trip this summer

latimes.com -- If you want a road trip fueled by cheap gas, head to the South.

Nothing says summer like jumping in the car and taking off for a week or even just a few days. So how much will gasoline prices crimp your impulse to travel? It depends on where you're going.

The good news is that last week gas prices continued to tumble in Southern California. As of Monday, AAA found the average price of a gallon of gas to be $4.12 in the L.A.-Long Beach area, $4.07 in Orange County, $4.10 in San Diego, $4.17 in Santa Barbara area, $4.09 in the Riverside-San Bernardino area, $4.15 in Bakersfield and $4.13 in Ventura.

The bad news is that gas prices in the West are highest in the nation. AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report shows prices from L.A. to Seattle are red hot -- meaning the cost of a gallon of a g

I hope they drop in another week, since I'll be taking one of my rare vacations.

There's no joy in mudville, the price of fuel at the pump is too high! Plan on staying close to home and visit local attractions. Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe and reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost, if possible. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012!

The crude is not even here but tyne price at the puma goes up fast. But the price comes down sooooo slow when crude oil prices drop.
