This is equivalent to over $6.00 a US gallon - and our gas is produced from the same crude oil shipped to the US where gas is sold $2.00 cheaper!

"why"

Taxes. The Canadians love to tax things. It costs no more for Canada to produce and deliver a gallon of gas than it costs us....the difference is taxes.

There is something wrong with the water in the North American Pacific coast - NOT JUST CALIFORNIA.

British Columbia has some of California's liberalism and have hooked themselves up to the boutique fuels of the West Coast. As a result, they are vulnerable to the same disruptions that Californians suffer.

AND they elect politicians who enact 'carbon taxes'. THIS is a case of getting what you deserve!

I wonder why that is when they ship oil to the US, we are the biggest importer from them. They should keep it at home and lower the prices, but alas it is all about profits not independence.

That city is just nuts. Taxes are a huge portion of that price.

danol43... Turn your trip into a working vacation. Rent You A tanker and fill it with USA gas. Take your trip and make a few bucks too. What is that in gallons anyway. I don't do litres.

That would convert to $5.73 USD per gallon and you do not even have an Obama to blame. My condolences.

(Current conversion rate - 1 Canadian dlr = .97861 USD)
