Why Retail Gasoline Prices Are Nearing Record High

Dow Jones Newswires --
Gasoline prices have climbed every day for the last 36 days so it's no wonder that consumers are worried that record levels are destined for the pump in the next few months. But the many reasons behind the climb aren't quite so easy to decipher -- making prices even harder to predict.

The simplest explanation for high gasoline prices goes like this: "you're paying more for gasoline because oil refiners are paying more for crude," said Byron King, editor of investment newsletter Outstanding Investments.

Recent political and military tension with Iran has added a "war risk" premium to the markets, he said. "War is bad for business, but rumors of war are good for the oil business."

There is a Big Oil Monopoly. They fix the price of crude high. That justifies raising gasoline prices. High bgasoline prices. Then that5 justifies higher crude prices. Looks like time to gbreak up the Big Oil Monopoly again. And vote the next former administration out o office.Hang them all and lert God sort it out and let the devi8l take the hindmost!

Paying more in the US because the overage is being shipped overseas instead of being sold for less at home.

The previous administration was blamed for the previously high pump prices. This time the current administration should take some of the blame for the high pump prices, aye?

Big oil is selling fuel and natural gas on the world market for higher prices, there will be NO price reduction for the cost of fuel or natural gas IN the US. Barry will support natural gas and oil production for sale on the world market to pay for his ‘spending gone wild’ addiction. The US ‘oil and natural gas resources’ belong to the citizens of this country and are to be used by those same citizens! Speculators, manipulators and the banks continue to unfairly and unjustly make the driving public pay higher prices at the pump for their benefit.
Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle is, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost, if possible.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

And we are still refusing to drill off our coasts and in ANWR. The government is choosing to go for untested alternatives that are expensive and unproven. As a result many of the places the government wastes huge quantities of money is developing alternative that companies take huge sums of money and go bankrupt.

IF oil cost those oil companies more, they wouldn't be making record profits. Big Oil split their production side from their refining side and their transportation side, so they can triple their tax cuts and credit and "claim" it's costing them more-George Orwell would be proud of them.

B.S. There is a glut of oil, the oil companies have full tankers just sitting because there is no place for the oil. For the past many months gasoline has exported out of the U.S. because of the glut in the U.S. When you control the supply and the manufacturing process you can control the price..... Think about it.... PLEASE !!!!
